Syncplify Server! v6.2.22 released

Importance of this update: NORMAL
What’s changed?
  • The Golang compiler was updated to the most recent version, and a full rebuild was performed
  • Auto-generation of one 4,096 bit RSA host key for the SSH/SFTP protocol handler is back in (by popular demand)
  • Tiny minor/cosmetic bug-fixes here and there in the web UIs

IMPORTANT NOTE: those who are running the “worker” system service under a different account (not System or LocalSystem) will need to re-configure the service to run under such account after upgrading from any version number <= 6.1.12)

Upgrading from v6.x.y is a simple and fairly automatic process: simply download the latest version from the official download page, and install it over the existing version, all of your settings and license will be kept.

Syncplify Server! v6.0.2 released

Today we released Syncplify Server! v6.0.2; here’s what’s new and improved in this version.

Fixed
  • Bug in the restore procedure from old version (v4/v5) database backups, which neglected to drop some of the collections prior to restoring them, and consequently produced an unusable restored configuration

Upgrading from v6.0.x is a simple and fairly automatic process: simply download the latest version from the official download page, and install it over the existing version, all of your settings and license will be kept.

Syncplify Server! v6.0 is OUT!

Our hearts are all full of joy while we officially announce that the long-awaited version 6.0 of our flagship product, Syncplify Server!, has finally been released today.

If you are running an older version 4.x or 5.x you will find the upgrade instructions in the knowledge base, as always.

This is our first cross-platform version, it’s been entirely redesigned, and it’s been the biggest development effort for our team to date. We hope you’ll love it as much as our previous versions, or even more. We already do.

Syncplify Server! v6.0-RC.1 released

Following up to the release of V6 betas (1 through 6), and thanks to all the feedback we received from our valued customers, we are extremely happy to announce that today we have released V6.0-RC.1 (Release Candidate 1), which fixes all of the known/reported glitches and issues reported in all beta versions.

As usual, and to be expected of any PRE-RELEASE software, this version comes with a few important notes, restrictions, and recommendations:

  1. Pre-release (including BETA and RC) software is expected to contain bugs, therefore it shall never be used in a production environment
  2. If/when you find any bug or odd behavior, please report it by opening a ticket on our support portal here: https://syngo.me/support
  3. Please be patient, the more you help us with your bug reports, the faster we will fix them and the faster we will get to the final stable release
  4. As all pre-release versions, this RC version comes with no guarantees whatsoever, and it may even contain bugs that might cause data loss, so – please – use it at your own risk, and make sure you use it exclusively inside of a disposable test environment with no access to live/production data

Syncplify Server! V6 Pricing

With Syncplify Server! V6 Alpha.0 being literally days away from being sent to Alpha-testers, we have elected to release the new software pricing structure to the public.

As you can see, in order to avoid confusion, the price list has been streamlined to include versions with and without WebClient!, and – as always – our customers will be able to freely upgrade to any of the higher license editions by simply paying the price difference (no penalty).

If you have an active support/maintenance subscription for Syncplify.me Server! v5.x, you are eligible to receive the upgrade to v6.0 upon its release later this year. The same applies to those who buy version 5.x between now and the release date of v6.0, because all new v5.x licenses come with an included 1-year support/maintenance subscription.
